Exactly. It's like self-defence; while I like to think I would be able to act with all necessary force in self-defence, potentially killing someone, I don't believe (and don't want to believe) that I'd be happy about it. I'd be happy about living, I think, but not about the price.
Anyway. I think Aquarion's right, that it's a miscalculated attempt at injecting a bit of humour into a dismal situation. And I feel a bit better having vented too. :-)
