Oh, might as well...

I was glancing through a few friends' LJs, and lifted a slightly interesting experiment from [livejournal.com profile] gipsy_dreamer's LJ. So I'll give it a go.

The idea is this:

  • Set media player on random

  • Post the first line from the first 32 songs to play, whatever they are. (Presumably the original idea was written by someone who didn't believe in instrumental tracks.)

  • Let people guess the song (and singer, though given that half of the tunes I have are jazz and rock & roll standards that could prove tricky).

  • Bold each song when someone guesses correctly.

  • Guessers - looking them up is cheating. So there.

So here are mine, then:

  2. All aboard the night train

  3. Paid vacation in a foreign land - "You're In The Army Now", Status Quo ([livejournal.com profile] gipsy_dreamer)

  13. We get it on most every night

  15. Don't know about the future, that's anybody's guess

Just a warning - I'm listing the singers performing them as they came up. Many of them aren't the original artist - in many cases I can't remember the original artist. Bear with me. ;-)
